&bull Help, my image is too bright!
||||||&bull Be careful to avoid direct sunlight.
||||||&bull Try and have your background and foreground evenly lit. |||||||Shadow is best, or an overcast day works wonders for making everything look even and natural.
&bull For optimal sound, try and find a camera with an audio-in and use an external microphone. Otherwise, the sound will have a lot of hissing, noise and feedback.
&bull Make sure the lens is clean. Clean it with a glass or lens cleaner and do not use any sort of coarse material, including your fingers. Always put the lens cap on when not filming.
&bull Charge batteries over night to make sure they are fully charged before shooting. If you are still not getting enough battery life, try to avoid using the flip out LCD screen--it drains a lot of power.
